Why government agencies should move from DC to the Midwest
Detroit, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. These are the 3 cities in the US that I want to visit the most. And the graphic above is taken from a Vox video (posted below) that centers around an argument about why government should really move out of the DC area and into places in the Midwest.
It's the first time I've ever heard this topic being discussed and I can see how it would sort of make sense. I'm just not completely sold on the idea that this would actually fix anything in terms of financial distribution.
Anyway, back to those big 3 cities. Can't wait to go back to two of them and go for the first time to one.
How the US Government Will Survive Doomsday
This video is really interesting. I've always wondered what would happen if total country meltdown happened.
John Oliver vets third-party candidates Jill Stein and Gary Johnson
Here is John Oliver totally ripping apart the two most popular third-party candidates, Jill Stein and Gary Johnson.
PS: If you want to see who is on your ballot, just google "Who's On My Ballot?". Very informative and straight-forward.
Inside Detroit's Failing Public Schools
If it's not apparent from my posts lately, I've been thinking about Detroit a lot. This video from The Atlantic uses a drone to briefly fly over several derelict schools in Detroit to give a top-down view of the utter destruction of this school district. It's very sad. So much potential just gone to waste because of a history of mismanagement and a declining local economy.
The next time I go to Detroit, I'm bringing a drone with me. Maybe I'll catch some of those newly repainted buildings.
