The Outline

I posted a story from The Outline the other morning and I think I've become hooked on the site. It reminds me of Bloomberg News, WIRED, and The Verge if they all got together and spawned a new site. The articles at The Outline are great reads so far and surprisingly, I even love their integrated ads (it looks like part of the article sometimes). I'm always looking for something much more beefier to read on a daily basis and for now, I think I've found it at The Outline.

You can order Shake Shack for pickup on your mobile device

How did I not know this? I've been living in the stone ages waiting on my local Shake Shack line. With the Shake Shack mobile app you can order off the entire Shake Shack menu and pickup at your own leisure. It's one of the pleasant ordering experiences I love about Sweetgreen, but now with less salad -- at my favorite burger joint! Will try this out soon and report back.

Fear of internet advertising

Is this seriously a surprise to people? I mean, hasn't this sort of thing basically been happening ever since TV commercials were a thing? Advertisers want to know where their ads are being shown and how effective they are, so it would make sense that all the ad data is gathered for consumption elsewhere. It's not inherently bad, but it so often is portrayed as some big scheme. It's not (unless you're visiting some sketchy site).

PS: And hate to break it to you, but those adblockers you have installed aren't necessarily solving the issue either (you can still be tracked).
