Bill Comes Due for Overextended Airbnb Hosts

I have nearly no sympathy for these property predators. Depending on the laws in the state they operate in, they basically rent or buy houses and then put the rooms on Airbnb for much higher than local rent values, thus eliminating much needed housing in many areas for people who actually need it.

If there’s one silver lining from this whole pandemic, it’s that maybe, in some weird way, these people who operate these Airbnb listings will be completely destroyed. I’m totally fine with that.
