Honda Accord NYC yellow cab
A glimpse of the rare Honda Accord hybrid NYC yellow cab.
The NYC TLC has a list of approved vehicles for yellow cabs and added onto that list last year was the Honda Accord Hybrid. As of right now, the entire yellow cab fleet consists of just ONE Honda Accord hybrid vehicle, the one shown here, with medallion #7A92.
Always fun to spot this one in the wild. Stay tune for other unique yellow cab vehicles in future posts!
KID PK on the New Jersey water tower
Revisiting my photos of the KID PK graffiti on the water tower next to the New Jersey Turnpike.
I was watching this video on the mystery of KID PK graffiti when I saw my own photo of the iconic graffiti water tower location in the video. I figured if they were going to steal my image, I may as well add a couple more to the mix.
I remember stopping on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike a few years back to capture this tower with my telephoto lens. There’s not much room on the edges so trucks are often zooming by at highway speeds — quite dangerous if I remember correctly.
The tower was demolished not too long ago and today the location of the tower is a massive Modway warehouse facility. If you go to 40°16'40.7"N 74°30'12.5"W on Google Maps or Google Earth you can likely go back in history and see the tower preserved digitally.
My original image which can be seen in the beginning of the video above.
Here’s drone footage of the water tower getting demolished.

The Electric State by Simon Stalenhag - ANIMATED!
An unofficial animated version of Simon Stalenhag’s The Electric State.
This video posted here is about 5 years old but I’ve somehow missed seeing it until now despite my complete adoration for Simon Stalenhag’s work both in Tales From The Loop and The Electric State.
His work is so mesmerizing and influential that both major publications of his have been turned into live-action recreations — Tales From The Loop (2020 on Amazon Prime Video) and The Electric State (2025 on Netflix). Both of the live-action creations look pretty lackluster and in my opinion, both shows should have gone animated to get the type of look that’s seen in this video below by Ilya Plotnikov.
A hot dog shaped food cart as a cargo bike
Is this my new dream cargo bike?
This is pretty nuts and I love it! I first saw a photo of this on Bluesky and instantly wanted to know more. It turns out this beautiful hot dog shaped bicycle vending machine is made by a company called ETO Foodcarts.
They specialize in highly customizable deployable food carts that can be as standard as you want or as unique as they come — hence this hot dog bicycle. It looks like so far only one of these were made and it went to a vendor in Los Angeles.
ETO Foodcarts also made a similar version of this hot dog food service cart as a towable trailer. The trailer features much of the same shape as this bicycle version shown here.
Stimulation Clicker revisited
I won the Stimulation Clicker game.
I had some downtime yesterday and decided to play Neal’s Stimulation Clicker browser game to the very, very end.
It took some time, and in the end I was way overstimulated, but the effort was well worth it. Yes, you too can get your game to look like the image here in this post!

The narrowest escalator in New York
This is the narrowest escalator in NYC!
Escalator at 10 Rockefeller Plaza
Have you ever wondered where the skinniest escalator is in NYC? An escalator that literally has no room to pass on either side? An escalator that is only able to accommodate a single-file line of passengers? Wouldn’t you love to see and ride one just like this?
10 Rockefeller Plaza
Well, you’re in luck because if you pass through Rockefeller Plaza between W 48th St and W 49th St (at 10 Rockefeller Plaza), through a set of glass doors lies the narrowest escalator in all of NYC. This escalator leads up to the street level from the Rockefeller Center Plaza dining and shopping center below ground. If you aren’t in the mood to eat or shop and just want to ride this escalator, you can enter the building at 10 Rockefeller Plaza and walk down the large spiral staircase and then take the escalator back up. There is a security person here at all hours but honestly, they don’t mind since the lobby here is adorned with a beautiful wrap-around mural by Lakela Brown.
One of NYC’s best truly hidden book stores.
